Supply Chain Disclosure Act
Paige, LLC (“Paige”) holds itself and its vendors to high ethical standards, and requires all of its vendors to comply with the applicable laws and regulations of the United States and the countries in which they operate.
The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (the “Act”) requires manufacturers and retailers doing business in California to report on their websites certain information about their efforts to prevent slavery and human trafficking within their supply chains. Slavery and human trafficking are illegal and unethical, and as part of its commitment to high ethical standards, Paige seeks to address such reprehensible conduct through its’ commitment to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, and by operating in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
As part of Paige’s commitment:
Verification of Supply Chains: Paige uses various methods to verify that its suppliers comply with Paige’s ethical standards, all applicable laws and regulations, and their contractual obligations. Prior to working with Paige, vendors must fill out a Business Partner Supply Chain Security Evaluation form to help Paige identify those vendors who share its ethical standards. Additionally, many of Paige’s vendors are certified by the Worldwide Response Accredit Program (“WRAP”), which requires that each facility undergo a thorough inspection by a WRAP auditor and be subject to unannounced follow-up inspections. Moreover, for domestic suppliers, Paige uses a third-party compliance company to ensure that vendors are compliant with all Federal and State labor laws.
Audits: Paige’s WRAP certified vendors, as well as its domestic vendors, are subject to unannounced third party audits to ensure compliance with Paige’s ethical standards.
Certification: All of Paige’s contracts with its vendors require the vendor to represent and warrant that it complies with all applicable laws and that it has appropriate procedures in place to manage the risk of slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains.
Internal Accountability: Paige requires that every director, officer and employee comply with all laws, rules and regulations, and promptly report any illegal or unethical conduct of which they become aware. This requirement is part of Paige’s employee handbook, and failure to comply, or disclose a failure to comply, with the requirements and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Training: Paige provides training to each of its employees, including those who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, regarding their respective ethical obligations detailed in the Employee Handbook.
